Welcome to the ChineseSavvy site. We here at ChineseSavvy want our users to understand who we are, what we do, and why we do it. We hope that you will join the ChineseSavvy family and take advantage of everything we offer.

So what exactly is ChineseSavvy?

Chinese Savvy is a comprehensive and efficient new web-based tool for Chinese language learning. Our aim is to promote the study of Chinese – in particular Mandarin speaking and simplified Chinese writing – and to promote trans-cultural communication in the Chinese language. Our goal is to give non-Chinese individuals a better way to interact with Chinese, and facilitate communication between Chinese and other cultures. In short, we want China and the rest of the world to better understand one another, and we believe language study and interaction between students are crucial. More

I want people from all across the globe to understand China; to understand China's past, present, and future; to understand Chinese customs, ideas, and habits; understand China's politics, economy, and culture; understand all the aspects of Chinese life. But why should you learn Chinese?

Chinese study is on the rise and enrollment in Chinese language courses is accelerating at an unbelievable pace – and for a good reason. The world spotlight is focused on China; from its astonishing economic growth, political strength on the world stage, position as a land of new opportunities, and fascinating culture and history, China has much to offer. However the language barrier is a thick one, and though many Chinese are learning English, the language of business, politics, and day-to-day life in China is definitively Chinese. As such, learning Chinese is central to those with aims of living, working, or studying in China – or even those who merely want to know more about China's history and society. This is a vital part of ChineseSavvy's mission statement and we aim to assist our users in any way we can.

The above is merely the tip of the iceberg. Instead, we've devoted our site to the language study itself and we'll leave you to fill in your own motivations and expectations.
