     冰糖葫芦是中国传统美食,它是将山楂用竹签串成串后蘸上麦芽糖稀,糖稀遇风迅速变硬。如今冰糖葫芦的种类花样翻新,桔子、草莓、香蕉……几乎可以串上各种你想得到的水果。酸甜香脆的冰糖葫芦直至今日仍是很受人们喜爱的食物。    

  

   Bing Tang Hu Lu is a kind of "rock sugar calabash" – essentially a sugar-coated haw on a stick. This is a traditional Chinese treat that is quite tasty and has, in recent times, been reincarnated by the addition of fruit flavors (as opposed to merely using haw, which can be quite bland). It is made by stringing together the haw (or other fruit) on bamboo, dipping the skewer in thin, sweet maltose sugary syrup, and allowing it to dry in the air, which makes the sugar harden into a sort of rock candy. These are common in big cities and small towns alike and are often sold on small street vending carts or in supermarkets.
