西单购物中心(Xidan Shopping Centre)

　　 北京市西单购物中心是一座现代化综合性商场,座落在首都最繁华的闹市区--西单北大街东侧，来逛这里的大多数是外地观光客，本地年轻人则比较集中在商场的四至八层，在 这里你不仅能买到各式各样的货品，更能一睹形形色色的北京时尚青年，可称为是北京的东京原宿。

        The shopping experience in China is a fascinating and diverse one. You can shop at an outdoor market as easily as at a large shopping mall. Smaller flea market-type shops often allow haggling, while most malls or major shopping centers have fixed prices. Most places whose name includes the characters “gou wu zhong xin” are usually more formal in appearance and have set prices with no haggling allowed. The prices in these centers are often considerably more expensive than their small market counterparts, but usually contain more “name-brand” items and have stricter and more uniform quality control. The one below is located in Xidan, in Southwest Beijing.
